CALL FOR PAPERS

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics
"Pharmacogenetics & Pharmacogenomics" Themed Issue

“Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT), the flagship journal of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (ASCPT) and the premier publication in clinical pharmacology, is inviting submissions for a special themed issue on “Pharmacogenetics & Pharmacogenomics,” which is scheduled for publication in September of 2021.

This themed issue will focus on the evolving field of pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics, from discovery science fueling novel drug development through clinical implementation to improve patient care. Example topics that are in scope include, but are not limited to: Genetic and genomic analyses including polygenic modeling that reveal novel mechanisms of drug disposition, response, or toxicity; genetic and genomic approaches identifying novel or targeted therapeutics; novel insights regarding the molecular mechanisms of regulation and expression of genes related to drug response; empiric, observational, or real-world data on the impact of incorporating drug-gene interactions into clinical care; and novel and effective strategies for education of health care providers and patients on gene or genome-guided therapeutics. Papers focusing on understudied populations (children, pregnant women, minority populations, etc.), novel genomic analysis methods, and trials of pharmacogenomic implementation are encouraged.Submissions may be original research articles, reviews, position/white papers or shorter perspectives. Educational, tutorial-style papers will also be considered. Please contact cpteditor@ascpt.org for details about manuscript types and format requirements.

To be considered for publication in this high-profile themed issue, manuscripts should be submitted via the online submission and tracking system by April 1, 2021.

Important: Please indicate in your cover letter that your manuscript is for the
"Pharmacogenetics & Pharmacogenomics" Themed Issue.

If you would like to make a pre-submission inquiry, please contact the CPT editorial office at cpteditor@ascpt.org.
