Full Profile
Haky Im develops quantitative and computational methods and tools to sift through the vast amounts of genomic and other high dimensional data with the goal of making discoveries that can be translated to improve human health. She currently focuses in the integration of GWAS and functional genomics studies and prediction of complex traits to understand the biology of complex traits. She has pioneered the use of predicted gene expression levels (PrediXcan) to investigate the mediating role of gene expression variation in the link between genetic and phenotypic variation. She is currently developing methods to infer the phenotypic consequences of molecular trait variation.
